osg-discovery does not build

Description

(This is a known problem, but I couldn't find a ticket for it. Mark this a dup if I'm blind)

osg-discovery no longer builds. Maven spits out a mysterious NPE. I've added a patch to the source to fix the NPE (it's during the assembly of the final tarball), but this means lots of JARs are missing. We should just use a bit of bash in %install to pull these from the maven directory.

Yes, I am looking at it.
I believe it happened due to the unavailability of one of the dependent packages.
I will try to take care of it today.
Another reason we need to take care of this package downloading packages with maven.

I don't understand what we need to do with Maven. Do you mean changes to the VDT build infrastructure? Please suggest the changes we need, because I don't fully understand them.

No, it is a problem with this package (though many maven built packages want to do this). They try to download packages from all over and package dependencies in the assembly.

We already have a ticket for it:

Adding the osg-client component. This is a blocker for the osg-client to update to 'testing'.

Resolving since there's a build in koji:
